One of the absolutely most despised movies of the year, people go on and on about how terrible it is, and just a couple hours ago I saw it for the first time.

Now I very rarely post a journal, much less about movie reviews, unless there's something important to say. And there certainly something very important to say:

It's not a bad movie.

Please take this with a grain of salt, for my family has a long history of liking movies that everyone else hates, but Pixels is not that terrible of movie. Sure it uses a bunch of cliches, doesn't know if it wants to be funny or serious, and has some lazy writing, but the jokes are still there, and the jokes are still funny. I'd definitely have to say it's one of the most under rated movies of the year. I think my up-and-coming favorite Youtube personality, the Nostalgia Critic said it best. Is it for everyone? Absolutely not. It's mostly for the people like me who like to sit down every once and a while to see something that is not trying to be smart, just stupid and funny, which I think is what this movie is supposed to be. I just don't think it deserves as much hate as it's getting.


I'm also supposed to share another video that friend of mine did when going to Dragon Con (it's supposed to be one of the biggest comic conventions in the US, if not biggest (yes, even beating out Comic Con-San Diego). A lot of interesting costume designs, hell, see if you can recognize any, I'm positive most of you can spot at least two that's far too few, I'm sure most of you can spot at least 10
